Valve may have drawn a disappointing hand with its own original card game but don’t let that news fool you, the market for digital card packs is still ripe for plundering. Bethesda provided some pleasant positivity recently with the announcement of a new expansion for their digital collectible card game, The Elder Scrolls: Legends – Alliance War.
Unveiled at Pax East, and landing on 15 April, The Elder Scrolls: Legends – Alliance War is a whole new adventure for Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls themed trading card game. The free to play card game followed titles like Hearthstone and Gwent, taking the TCG out of the hands of players and onto the internet. A generally solid concept, The Elder Scrolls: Legends suffered from poor visibility in the gaming scene and had a very lackluster launch. Under the curation of Sparkpants Studios, the developers behind Dropzone, Elder Scrolls: Legends has turned things around for this epic adventure. Now, The Elder Scrolls: Legends – Alliance War is set to bring more action to the PvP arena alongside the other features in the roadmap below.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends – Alliance War is inspired by the endless war of the alliances that rages across Elder Scrolls Online. It will bring massive changes to The Elder Scrolls: Legends meta. Over 100 new cards will arrive with the Alliance War and a whole new meta. New mechanics such as Mobilize and Empower should change the way seasoned experts play and five new three-color house card combinations will bring a whole host of new players to the board. While fans might recognize some of the incoming factions, two new alliances can be found below.
Empire of Cyrodiil – Willpower, Agility, Endurance
Fallen from prominence, the Empire clings to its last shreds of power at the center of the conflict.
Daggerfall Covenant – Strength, Intelligence, Endurance
A faction of Redguard, Breton, and Orsimer seeking to restore the Second Empire of Men under the rule of High King Emeric.
Aldmeri Dominion – Intelligence, Willpower, Agility
Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit faction seeking to reestablish Elven dominance over Tamriel.
Ebonheart Pact – Strength, Agility, Endurance
A contentious alliance between the Dunmer, Nords, and Argonians formed out of necessity to preserve their independence.
Guildsworn – Strength, Intelligence, Willpower
A coalition formed between the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild to protect the people of Tamriel from the collateral damage of the war and the Daedric invasion.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends – Alliance War will arrive on iOS, Android, and PC on 15 April. Players can purchase the expansion for $ 49.99. This includes 50 packs from the brand-new expansion, one Legendary Pack, the Warmonger title and the exclusive premium card back.
