The Elephant Collection is big, blue, and straight out of the 2010s.
In an age where we’re eating up retro inspired platformers like TMNT and Super Meat Boy, it’s time for flash games to make a massive return. Developer Wonderful Elephant (jmtb02) and publisher Armor Games Studios have announced that we’re about to get a whole herd of big blue flash games remastered for 2023. The Elephant Collection will drop onto your overpowered PC gaming rig later this year, bringing 10 quirky and fully remastered Flash challenges to screens.
The ten pack of jmtb02’s iconic blue elephant games includes:
• This is the Only Level 1, 2, and 3: This platformer only has one level, but the solution changes every time you beat it. Do you have what it takes to reach the end?
• Achievement Unlocked 1, 2, and 3: Think outside the box and figure out how to unlock every possible achievement. (Good luck; there are a lot of them.) Note: Achievement Unlocked 2 does not contain a multiplayer experience.
• Elephant Quest: That Wooly bully stole the Elephant’s bowler hat. Rude! Fight through an expansive world, power up your elephant, and help your fellow elephants in fun side quests in order to stop Wooly once and for all! Oh, also, you have a laser.
• Obey! The Game: This micro-game collection is simple, really: just follow the instructions until the game tells you not to!
• Run, Elephant, Run: Escape from your world tour and go on a whirlwind international journey so you can spend time with your loving partner, who is also an elephant.
• Elephant Rave: Dance to the music and avoid the colorful lasers! It’s highly irrelephant.
This talk of blue elephant adventures might have you a bit confused if you’re not quite the correct age. For anybody who remembers the likes of Newgrounds, this meta collection of curiosities is a rebirth for a unique range of browser-based games that gained a cult following. The upcoming anthology is lovingly tied together by an overarching story that sees Blue Elephant’s partner go missing after a rave gone wrong. Blue Elephant must recover his memories of that night by earning achievements in each game, hopefully revealing the location of his lost partner along the way!
