Wayfinder gets a lot of polish today with the first Wayfinder QoL patch.
Bugs fixes, loot changes, and more come to Wayfinder today. Airship Syndicates Early Access fantasy adventure gets an inaugural quality of life path that aims to make huge leaps in the overall experience for Wayfinders across PC. Due to go live at 9AM PT / 11 AM CT / 12 PM ET / and a little later for those of us in Europe, the changes will roll out via Steam, with PlayStation still in progress at present.
What’s Coming
It’s reasonable to say the list of changes coming to the co-op dungeon looter is significant. While we don’t have a definitive list, a preview post from last week did give us a hint of the big hitters. Players logging in after the substantial update will find themselves with access to the Server Browser alpha in this update! While it’s still in its infancy, this screen should allow us to get in game with friends or focus on specific goals.
Combat and movement is a clear focus for the developers, and this gets obvious work. Alongside a series of character based movement buffs, the most obvious addition is the improved character control while jumping. Up in the air, players get enhanced control and better nuance. Targeting has also had something of a once over, giving more precise takedowns when releasing the loot from it’s fleshy containers.
Loot also gets changes today too. Players can expect to see resources at the Gloomsphere that will appear in expeditions. Loot pools get a tweak today too to make them additive. Once you’ve exhausted the loot pool for the area you’re in, you will start to receive lower-tier armor you might be missing from previous zones.
That’s far from everything, and the full list of updates is expected to drop with the patch. PC players only have hours to wait and can load the update for free. PlayStation players continue to be stuck in something of a limbo while Airship Syndicate work through the process of catch up, after finally transferring control of the game from ex-publisher Digital Extremes.
If you picked up Wayfinder and stepped out because you couldn’t find quite the right bit of loot to get you moving forward, this might be a great time to leap in again. Find out more about the Wayfinder QoL patch on the official website now.
