The Great Push Challenges Competitive WoW Dungeon Runners

WoW

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new “one-off” event for competitive WoW dungeon runners. The Great Push event is a separate competitive tournament from the Mythic Dungeon Invitational and is open to any group of players hoping to take home a share of the $20,000 prize pool.

In the traditional MDI, teams of players race through World of Warcraft dungeons trying to beat the times of other teams in the tournament. In The Great Push, however, teams are challenged to push mythic dungeon keys as high as they can.

Teams hoping to win a slot in the tournament will be able to register from now through May 17th to take part in the Proving Grounds qualifier that will run on May 22-23. Teams will be handed a random pair of dungeon keys and will be challenged to push them as high as possible in order to qualify. From there, six teams will be invited to the tournament where they will compete through Shadowlands dungeons. The one with the highest overall score for these dungeons will be declared the winner.

The tournament will be broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch, and players will also be able to stream their perspectives during the tournament, including their time in the Proving Grounds.  You can choose to follow your favorite team and players while keeping up with the casters for the overall standings throughout the weekend.

While waiting for The Great Push, fans can check out the MDI Global Finals on April 23-25 where teams will be duking it out for a share of the $300,000 prize pool.
