HBO Max just give us a peek at The Last of US Season 2 TV series as part of an HBO upcoming trailer for 2024-2025.
The story of Ellie and Joel isn’t done yet. Players who have followed th eon screen performance of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie will soon get a second season of action. The follow up to the first instalment in The Last of US TV show just appeared in a new showreel for HBO’s upcoming 2024-2025 season. Dropping alongside the likes of Game of Thrones, The Penguin, Dune: Prophecy, and more the tale only gets a few seconds of footage, but its telling.
Taking place after the end of season one, this video game adaptation seems to return to the commune Joel and Ellie left us at. A brief flash of the snowy surroundings and mountainous territory suggest we will be back there. We also see a brief glimpse of Catherine O’Hara‘s character, although we don’t know who that will be. Expect to find more undead, and morally grey choices alongside the established characters.
The Last of Us Season 2 is likely to follow the story behind the video game franchise from developer Naughty Dog. The second in this series is likely to provide much of the inspiration for this upcoming TV adaptation and confirms that it will land in 2025. Like the recent influx of impressive TV adaptations across Netflix and Amazon streaming services, this is another port worth watching. With a while to wait, there’s plenty of time to sit down with a PlayStation or PC version of the games and try not to make too much noise. You can watch the action above or find out more on the HBO website.
