The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – Official Teaser Trailer

Last March Daedalic Entertainment, Middle-Earth Enterprises and The Saul Zaentz Company have announced The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, a mysterious new project that was later revealed to be “stealth-action adventure with an intriguing dual-personality mechanic, gigantic levels, and a densely wrought aesthetic inspired by Tolkien’s own drawings”. The game is slated to arrive in 2021 for PC and “all relevant console platforms at that time”.

IGN’s Youtube channel shared the first look at the upcoming game. You can find The Lord of the Rings: Gollum official teaser trailer above.

Additionally, the developers of the game have participated in an interview with IGN where they compared the upcoming game to Prince of Persia:

“The game mixes stealth with vertical climbing parkour,” explains lead game designer Martin Wilkes. “If you want a reference you might think of it as similar to Prince of Persia. It is mostly a non-combat game, but Gollum will be able to stealthily take out enemies. However, this will not be easy and always come with big risks. We want players to carefully weigh these encounters. After all, Gollum’s strengths lie in cunning not combat.”

The next few years might prove to be pleasing for the fans of The Lord of the Rings between Gollum, Amazon’s MMO and prequel series.
