The Mortal Kombat Launch Trailer Looks Bloody Brilliant

Gore, intense violence, strong language, and a soundtrack that you can’t help but shout along to. Mortal Kombat is back and so are a bunch of memorable faces in the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat 11.

NetherRealm Studios has unveiled the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, the latest in the visceral fighting series, and it looks set to unravel the history we know. Centered around Kronika, the Keeper of Time, this iteration of the series follows attempts to unravel time and restart history. In order to balance the realms and prevent Kronika from creating a brand new era, players must take up arms with fighters from different eras. Mortal Kombat 11 is far from a simple trip down memory lane, however, competitors will fight through a narrative story mission, culminating in a generational clash as current characters take on their past selves. Iconic faces are all on show during the Mortal Kombat 11 trailer including Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax Briggs, Cetrion, The Kollector, Kitana and Shao Kahn. This all comes in addition to the standard expectations.

Excessive violence, fantastic fatalities, and an engaging combat system all seem to be here and it’s no surprise really. Mortal Kombat 11 comes hot on the heels of other NetherRealm success stories such as Mortal Kombat X, Injustice, and Injustice 2. If these are anything to go by, then Mortal Kombat 11 is going to live up to the hype. If you want to reminisce about those characters of old, then you can check out the new trailer below and delight at the “Techno Syndrome” remix by international DJ, Dimitri Vegas and 2. Mortal Kombat is coming for your PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 23. Check out even more information on the official website.
