The Past Within is out now on Nintendo Switch, bringing a unique co-op chronological mystery to Nintendo’s console.
If you wanted something to play with your friends but want something a bit less defend the payload, then The Past Within has just come to Nintendo Switch. The indie puzzler is Rusty Lake’s very first foray onto the hybrid handheld and follows a sizeable 1 million or so sales across PC and mobile devices. So, there should be somebody to play with.
Anybody grabbing the game will set themselves back a grand $5.99 / £5.99 or local equivalent to unlock at least one of the two copies you’ll need. Set in the surrealistic realm of Rusty Lake, this adventure is a n asynchronous point-and-click puzzle By investigating The Past and The Future, players must work together to figure out and set into motion Albert Vanderboom’s cryptic plans from beyond the grave. Along the way both players will experience this environment from their own point of view. Puzzles, mysterious tales, and more await.
The unique selling point and interesting concept is that The Past Within is a purely co-op title. There’s no need for a connection, a dedicated Lan, or an online cloud service to play together, however.
