I had a blast rounding up everything I could find about the next Maxis Sims 4 DLC, The Sims 4 Discover University, twitter gave us a slew of little tidbits we can look forward to enjoying when it launches November 15th on PC, followed by console on December 17th.
This week The Sims has just uploaded the highly anticipated gameplay trailer:
What grabs me first is the mention of switching housing A LOT. Now, I’ve never played any other version of The Sims so this might be obvious to some, dabbled a little in running multi-sim homes, followed by different lots but does this mean something entirely different for The Sims 4 Discover University? Being a HUGE fan of building out city apartments in San Myshuno (City Living Pack) this has piqued my interest on a decor level. Speaking of decor, the closest I got to University in my life is a one year apprenticeship I took on at 16 for hairdressing school. 40 girls living in a big old house, 3 in our room and 5 per kitchen. I would like to say I enjoyed it but girls can sometimes be obliviously mean so already I’m thinking, maybe this is the time I try more negative traits in The Sims?
Will there be new traits? How will scholarships play out? My imagination is running wild!
Back to decor though, I need that mini fridge and LOVE how the microwave sits on it (one step closer to having microwaves above the stove?) The pot plants have my name written all over them and who can’t help but appreciate the wallpaper and rug choices teamed up with that youthful, sporty aesthetic spirit?! I do wish single beds were a little wider as they look too narrow in most settings but I understand completely how items would be measured to comply with the grid of the entire game for pathing and placement reasons but on to more important things!
“Moved off campus,” ok!
“Secret societies,” check!
Keeping it “one hundo” this trailer embraces all kinds of studious lifestyles, including students with children, partying and losing scholarships and yes now I am most intrigued by how fast I can lose a scholarship in The Sims SO that’s the first thing we will do because, why not?! Take a look at those new careers and did she ask if we get paid to be a mascot?
I wonder how the The Sims 4 Get Famous pack will work-in with this one? What are you curious about most? Let us know!
