The Sims 4 Is Adding New Skin Tones

The developers from Electronic Arts have shared a new blog post on the official site of The Sims 4 to outline the upcoming skin tone improvements. On October 6 for PC/Mac and November 10 for consoles, the game is going to receive a base update that will address the blotchy artifacts and ashy appearance of darker skin tones on mid and high spec machines.

In December, the Sims 4 team will be rolling out at least a hundred new skin tone swatches in cool, neutral, and warm tones with a particular emphasis on darker skin tones. Additionally, the game will receive a slider on all swatches, both new and existing, that will allow you to modify each selected tone to be lighter or darker. Another addition will include new sliders for makeup in Create-A-Sim mode.
