Microids and OSome Studio have announced that The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone is ready to smurf its way out on multiple platforms in November. Players can revisit some of their most beloved animated characters from childhood starting November 2, 2023. The narrative adventure game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GoG.
Of course no good game announcement comes without an equally awesome trailer, and this one is no exception. Developers shine the spotlight on gameplay and provide a tiny peek at gameplay.
Players set off on a mission to retrieve the green Stone from Gargamel’s laboratory, but it explodes. Players are charged with traveling through the Cursed Land to retrieve the shards and to take on “the evil Stolas, a new order bent on creating a reign of terror.”
A crack team of 4 Smurfs must then adventure through various teleporters to find the fragments of the Green Stone and piece them back together before it plunges the world into chaos. Well equipped, the Smurfs can count on the SmurfoMix and an unexpected ally…Gargamel!
