The Spectrum Retreat Coming to PC and Consoles

The Spectrum Retreat

Bafta Young Game Designer winner, Dan Smith, and Ripstone Games are ready to welcome guests to the Penrose hotel, as The Spectrum Retreat comes to PC and Consoles later this year.

All the amenities of home

Dan’s 2016 prototype for this ingenious puzzler is now a fully fleshed adventure, thanks to the team at Ripstone Games. Set around a mysterious art-deco building and your unexpected vacation, players must unravel the mysteries behind the hotel and your incarceration. Based on the original prototype’s mechanics, The Spectrum Retreat presents a series of color-coded puzzles for players to solve, and promises a deeply involving narrative. While I can’t help feel that Altered Carbon should have taught me to steer clear of eerily deserted near future hotels and automated attendants, I’ll take a room for one, please.

The Spectrum Retreat is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch later this year. You can keep up to date on the game’s official website.
