The Tekken World Tour 2024 is coming with a new take on this outrageous bout of fisticuffs.
Tekken 8 is almost here and the team behind this seminal series of brawls has confirmed it will headline the Tekken World Tour 2024. Due to arrive on 13th April , the new round of competition will host the latest instalment in the series, a chance to top a range of comparative leaderboards, and collaborations with Chipotle, Venum, Uniqlo, and Victrix by PDP.
Kicking off at EVO Japan on 13 April, this in person event is an opportunity for local players to take on all comers and climb a range of ranks. Both local and global competitive leaderboards will open up a range of opportunity, and you don’t need to go to Evo to compete. At the end of March, tournament organisers can enter their applications for DOJO events. Players at DOJO events will be eligible for both global and regional leaderboard points. These events are offline, in-person competitions open to all players around the world, with the number of awarded points being scaled to the size of the tournament. For tournament organizers, there is a DOJO approval process detailed fully on the official tekkenworldtour.com website.
Alongside the upcoming battle, a bunch of new brand collabs are int the works too. Chipotle, Venum, Uniqlo, and Victrix by PDP to partner with Tekken World Tour in 2024 alongside the launch of Tekken 8. This isn’t particularly unusual for peripheral manufacturer PDP. Their Victrix line got plenty of praise when we got hands on with it. Players can expect new themed products and Uniqlo apparel soon. The Chipotle crossover, however, is unusual for western palettes. Really, we’re just excited to see how the Mishima saga ends in the new Tekken. Featuring some stunning graphics, completely remodelled characters, destructible environments, and an all-new “Aggressive” battle system that keeps the action at a high level.
