The Top 10 Xbox Games of 2020

2020 was a memorable year for most of us and was a banner year for games. With the end of the year approaching like a speeding train, we wanted to take a look back at the top 10 games on Xbox this year as determined by perennial favorite rating site, Metacritic. See what games topped the charts in 2020 according to both professional and player reviews.

# 10 – Planet Coaster: Console Edition

According to Metacritic, Planet Coaster – Console Edition for Xbox One sits at a comfortable 80% between professionals and players.

#6 – DOOM Eternal

The DOOM series is a fan favorite and has been for years. DOOM Eternal is no exception as it stormed Metacritic with a sweet 88% rating.

#5 – Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Yakuza is another long-running series that is beloved by fans. As we dip into the year’s top 5 games, we start with Yakuza: Like a Dragon sitting at a comfortable 89%.

Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking grunt of a low-ranking yakuza family in Tokyo, faces an 18-year prison sentence after taking the fall for a crime he didn’t commit. #4 Yakuza 0

Another Yakuza game makes the cut in the year’s top 10, this time Yakuza 0, an 80s trip to the pas and a fan-favorite. Sitting at a comfy 90%, the game was a huge hit on Xbox.

Play as Kazuma Kiryu and discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong and his mark winds up murdered.
