This week is all the Switch, people. And while we had to wait like good little boys and girls for Friday to get our own, the rest of world was playing Zelda and sharing how it’s a 10/10 game. Our own review is coming later in the week, but yeah… we can see how it’s getting perfect scores. Anyway, here comes the bits of news and reviews and opinions you misses this past week!
The Week in Games – March 5th, 2017
The title of the post says it all. While your character’s life will live on in Destiny 2, you’ll be starting everything else from scratch. Hopefully they follow the Guild Wars 1 to 2 model and allow some sort of achievement or “hall of monuments” for devoted D1 fans.
You read that right. Borderlands 3 is seriously in development, and at GDC this year Randy Pitchford teased what the game might look like on Unreal 4.
Jeff Kaplan introduced the world to Orisa this week, a brand new Tank hero on the PTR for Overwatch. She’s a giant robot being piloted by an extremely smart little girl named Efi. In short, she’s an immediate favorite.
Due to launch this week, Ghost Recon Wildlands just announced it’s Season Pass, Free DLC, and Free PVP Update plans. Check out what’s in store if you pay a little more.
Switch: The Legend of Zelda Machine
The Nintendo Switch launched on Friday to much fanfare, even if most people are just playing it for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The latest Zelda game has quickly shot to the top of critical charts with 10/10 coming out the whazoo, and is easily one of history’s best reviewed games so far.
