The Xiaomi G Pro 27i has launched to a global audience brining the Mini-LED experience to gamers at a paltry $329.
An intriguing new entry in the monitor market is now available from Xiaomi. The G Pro 27i might already be widely available in the hardware manufacturer’s home territory but now gamers globally can score some intriguing tech for less than half the cost of a brand-new console. Bundling in QHD resolution, a 27 inches of fast IPS, gaming response times, and Mini-LED tech, this is definitely worth a look if you are in the market.
The Tech
The newest display from Xiaomi is a 27 inch display that manages QHD 2560×1440 resolution at up to 180 Hz, giving players who have even the most overclocked mid range cards nothing to worry about. 1ms advertised response rates and a color gamut of around 99% DCI-P3 and tear resistant adaptive sync technology all tick the expected boxes, then things take a turn for the unexpected.
Mini-LED technology and a fast IPS Panel present a total of 1152 independent dimming zones and HDR 1000, which should give this precise control over light and shadow that simply shouldn’t be available at this price range.
This is not the first gaming monitor we’ve seen form Xiaomi. The 34 inch curved option and a 27 inch FHD display are already available to global. While the physical design stands out from the rest of this lineup with a two color case and circular backlighting, it’s the front of this monitor that really seems like it will be getting all the attention. We’ve not got our hands on this compelling new design, but I’ll let you know how it plays against the competition when we do. The Xiaomi G Pro 27i is available now from Amazon and other online retailers in the US. We’ve yet to see it appear in Europe quite yet. Check the full specifications on the official website.
