Audeze has announced the new Audeze Maxwell headset, a brand new low latency wireless headset and it sounds incredible.

The newly announced Audeze Maxwell headset was announced just a few days ago by audio pioneer Audeze. The latest in a line-up of top tier gaming headsets brings together a wealth of experience, uniquely powerful planar drivers, and a low latency wireless connection that will likely elevate your festive escape and beyond. Whether you’re looking to immerse yourself in the rich open world of Elden Ring on PC or just jump into some console based FPS the Maxwell should more than meet expectations.

Both the console and PC versions of this new headset will supply ultra-low-latency, high-resolution audio of up to 24-bit 96kHz when connected to the included USB dongle. Alongside ultra-responsive noise, the California made, 90mm planar magnetic drivers in these accessories have 3X more surface area than competitor’s drivers for incredible sonic detail, authority, and impact, while the overall range of the Maxwell is 3x further than the Penrose headset, which I raved about when I tried it. If a dongle isn’t available, then these still support Bluetooth 5.3 LE Audio technology, supporting the LC3 and LC3plus codec, and lossless high-resolution audio up to 24-bit 96kHz over wired USB.

In addition to the core components, the sturdy spring-steel headband with an adjustable suspension strap supports a system that includes the Audeze’s FILTER Speakerphone, hardware based noise suppression, and a multitude of high quality additions to your audio experience. Normally I’d scoff at the price tag of $299 on PlayStation and $329 for Xbox. However, these are likely to be bounds above the other headsets we’ve reviewed and I’ll be keeping an eye out for the first shipments of the Audeze Maxwell headset from stores come January 2023. Grab yours on the official Audeze website.
