Gwent, the card game featured in The Witcher series, is its own stand alone game. Developers told a Gamescom audience yesterday that a new story campaign is coming in 2017. Called Thronebreaker, the story centers on Meve, a warrior queen.

Players will explore never-yet seen parts of The Witcher’s world as well as go on “thought-provoking quests”, gather resources and take part in story battles.
Meve is the queen of two Northern Realms and is no stranger to battle. However, her lands are being invaded by a foreign power so she heads off on “a dark journey of destruction and revenge.
We don’t know much more about the campaign. However, we do know it will be out for PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One later in 2017. You can check out the teaser page on the official Gwent site.
