All you need to know about today’s Pokken Tournament DX Announcement

Pokemon Nintendo Dirrect - Pokken Tournament DX

The hype was running high, most people hoping for a Pokemon RPG on the Nintendo Switch (the long-rumored Pokemon Stars). And though that was not to be (yet), Pokemon is indeed coming to the Switch on September 22nd, 2017. Pokken Tournament DX, a port of the Wii U Pokken Tournament, is making its way to the Switch. New Pokemon, new modes, playable at E3, and coming in September. Additionally, it was revealed that the 3DS is getting a “remixed” Sun and Moon in the form of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon on November 17th. And last but not least, the 3DS eShop is also getting Pokemon Gold and Silver, which will be compatible with the Pokemon Bank too.

  • Alternate story taking place in the same world as Sun and Moon
  • Features Pokemon not in the original
  • Simultaneous worldwide release on Nov 17

Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver Version

  • Will be released on virtual console for 3DS
  • Compatible with Pokemon Bank
  • September 22nd release
