NACON and Cyanide have announced that Tour de France 2020 will be cycling into full release on June 4th when it launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, PC players need not despair. The PC version of the game will launch later in 2020. To celebrate the big announcement, developers have released a new trailer that showcases the new first-person camera and that celebrates the PC version.
The first-person camera is being introduced to provide players a more realistic experience of what it feels like to be a pro cyclist. “Breakaways, steep slopes, and high-speed sprints will be more staggering than ever this year.”
PC players will be able to create a rider, choose a specialization, and improve results through the Pro Leader mode in the game. The release of TDF2020 will be accompanied by Pro Cycling Manager 2020 as well so it’s a great time for PC enthusiasts to get on board.
The team has deployed a number of quality of life improvements and new features including:
- Liège-Bastogne-Liège (“The Old Lady”), a 266km race of steep climbs
- A redesigned interface that provides better anticipation of the course and position of competitors
- A deeper time-trial where posture and sprint management are crucial for success
- A more realistic AI that grabs any attack opportunity
