Tower of Fantasy is set to open up an anime inspired sci-fi experience for gamers when closed beta testing starts today.
Publisher Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio have just announced a new chapter for anime inspired title Tower of Fantasy. After launching in China, this shared open world RPG is set to open this adventure to even more players as it ramps up to a full launch on PC and mobile platforms. Gamers across the US, UK, Canada, Germany, and Japan will now be able to submit applications to, and participate in, a fight for the future of an alien world.
Set hundreds of years in the future, the eponymous Tower of Fantasy is a massive structure set atop a n alien world called Aida. Constructed to draw a mysterious new energy source from this colonized world, it becomes a conduit for human greed and a massive cataclysm. Now, with strange inter dimensional tears, biological mutation, war, and turmoil breaking out around this haven players can pick follow some of the many characters as they fight for their future:
- Meryl is a senior Hykros executor who excels at S-level missions with her sword and combat skills. She adopts a cool approach and it’s hard to know what’s really on her mind.
- Shiro has a fascination and passion for the ocean and for years has been traveling alone studying its movement and secrets, furthering humankind’s understanding of Aida.
- Samir is a Hykros executor who acts independently and loves to play harmless tricks on others. She is quite liked among the elite executors.
- Huma developed superhuman strength from a rare disease and is now under the medical care of Hykros. She is generally quiet and introverted, but when she puts her mind to something, her aura transforms making her incredibly powerful.
- Highly skilled beyond her years, talkative and opportunistic, Tsubasa is a complex person, always ready to move on to, in her own words, “No reason in particular, I just want to be where it’s buzzing.”
A new trailer dropped to give us an idea of what to expect from Tower of Fantasy, and there’s plenty of familiar concepts. This highly stylized RPG meshes open world scenarios with fast paced combat and plenty of places to explore.
