Fahrenheit 213,the studio founded by Fate/Grand Order Director Yosuke Shiokawa has announced a new RPG named Tsurugihime.

During this weekend’s Indie Expo, Shibuya based developer Fahrenheit 213 revealed the latest title helmed by the director behind Fate/Grand Order. The upcoming announcement revealed a new side scrolling RPG. The brand new IP is set to come to PC in 2024 and mixes influences that fans of this well regarded developer might recognize.

While the announcement opened up a first look at the adventure, not a huge amount is known ahead of the full release. We do know that Fahrenheit 213 features 100 days of battle across a 3D fantasy world. Facing off against an army of opponents, the central arc involves a range of narrative choices, with a range of promised endings depending on how that time is spent. While RPG elements mean that there is likely going to be more about the narrative as we get closed to release, combat seems to provide plenty of choice too. The reveal confirms that countless swords will be at player’s behest and a wide variety of customization will feature. Everything from weapons to characters and even a companion system seems to be included. Up to 1000 weapons are available to utilize, so combat should be varied enough to keep even the most fickle players engaged.

More information, and a first look at the RPG can be found over on the official Steam Store page for Tsurugihime. If you’ve played through Fate, completed, Dissidia Final Fantasy, or are a fan of SAO then this is probably worth keeping an eye on.

Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
