If you’re old enough to remember the very first time that Jeff Goldblum warned us about messing with dinosaurs, then you’re probably old enough to have gotten some payback in the Turok franchise. On Friday, it is time to return to the jungle as Turok and T2 come to Xbox One.
Originally developed by Acclaim Studios Austin, the franchise was an iconic first-person shooter, based on a comic book character of the same name. Set on a jungle planet, players could hunt down ferocious dinosaurs in an intense battle for survival. It blasted onto the Nintendo N64 in 1997 and stands out alongside Goldeneye as one of the platform’s most memorable encounters. Now, the team at Nightdive Studios has unveiled an HD remaster, and an accompanying trailer, for the first two games. Arguably the franchises strongest moments, both games will be available for $19.99 each on the Microsoft Store.
If you’ve ever wondered what the world did before Ark: Survival Evolved you can find out more about the game at the official website.
