V Rising, the gothic survival sandbox from Stunlock Studios, has sold an astounding 1 million copies in Early Access.

With some serious hype at its back and an army of undead logged into Steam, V rising has been doing some incredible business since it launched into Early Access back in date. After losing our collective mortal minds over this brooding new survival sim, we’ve managed to snap up a staggering 1 million copies of V Rising in less than two weeks since it hit Early Access. With as many as 150,000 concurrent users online at any moment since 17 may 2022, all eager to take on the unforgiving challenges that lurk in the shadow of this huge success, it’s no surprise to hear that there’s still more to come too.

Stunlock Studios, the developers behind this title, dropped some more detail about the future plans for Early Access development. A new blog post over on the official V Rising website provides feedback and reaction from the team. It seems that while there’s a definitive goal in mind, the path ahead isn’t forged in stone and the immediate future will be spent analyzing data and details from the first few weeks of Early Access.

While this all seems pretty ambiguous, Stunlock notes that with the overwhelming support of recent weeks, version 1.0 can expect to contain some enhanced extras:

With time… There will be more weapons to wield, loot to plunder, and sorcery to conjure. There will be more V Bloods with new challenges, lands to explore, and further ways to enhance your castle to express your vampiric glory. A world that will feel fresh to dive in and sink your teeth into again and again. The vampire’s journey is far from over.

For now, you can check out some of the stunning new concept art that’s appearing, above and tend to that bloody itch by awakening a new vampire and trying to survive long enough to overcome a world full of dangers. Drain the local villages, turn humans into servants of the underworld, build a huge castle, and carve a path through Vardoran.

While we wait on new content. Find out more about V Rising over on the official website now.
