Valorant Devs Prepping to Introduce a New Agent

Valorant Neon

Riot Games‘ Valorant hand has been forced thanks to a snafu on the part of Amazon Prime Gaming. Amazon published an image of the next Agent coming to the game ahead of the planned information dump that the company planned for the coming two weeks. The artwork features Neon, the newest hero of Filipino descent. While Amazon immediately redacted the image, nothing goes unnoticed on the web, and news about Neon spread. As a result, Riot offered fans a larger, uncropped version of the Neon image and said that fans may want to keep their eyes peeled for more information coming this week.

According to several sites, Riot has been teasing Neon for several months and even showcased an image of running shoes, something that clearly alludes to her talents as a speedster. She was codenamed Sprinter in internal documents but nothing was officially released beyond that including any information about her kit and what she will bring to the game overall. Other hints about Neon cam in the December State of the Agents update with some information about her Manilla, Philippines origin. This was accomplished through at least a pair of hints using the Filipino language.

Mga kaibigan ko (My friends in Filipino),

I’m not sure if this is tradition at this point, but I know many of you immediately scroll to the bottom just to see what is on the horizon. Hopefully, all of us are going into next year with renewed energy, ready to take on new and unexpected challenges. Kicking off next year is an Agent who can outpace the rest of the roster, shocking the competition, and sliding straight into the fight.

Before they arrive, we are going to take our usual winter break, recharge, and amp ourselves up for next year.

Maraming salamat (Thank you very much in Filipino)!

Keep an eye on the Valorant official site to learn more as the week progresses.
