Riot Games, the developers of shooter Valorant, have revealed the latest agent to join the roster: meet Tejo, a veteran intelligence consultant from Colombia. Tejo’s ballistic guidance system pressures the enemy to relinquish their ground – or their lives. His targeted strikes keep opponents off balance and under his heel.
“Colombian ballistics expert Tejo’s got a simple message for anyone in his way: move, or die. Get your hands on the veteran ballistics expert when he launches in 2025’s first Act.”
Tejo’s abilities include:
- Special Delivery – EQUIP a sticky grenade. FIRE to launch. The grenade sticks to the first surface it hits and explodes, Concussing any targets caught in the blast. ALT FIRE to launch the grenade with a single bounce instead.
- Stealth Drone – EQUIP a stealth drone. FIRE to throw the drone forward, assuming direct control of its movement. FIRE again to trigger a pulse that Suppresses and Reveals enemies hit.
- Guided Salvo – EQUIP an AR targeting system. FIRE to select up to two target locations on the map. ALT FIRE to launch missiles that autonomously navigate to target locations, detonating on arrival.
- (ULT) Armageddon – EQUIP a tactical strike targeting map. FIRE to select the origin point of the strike. FIRE again to set the end point and launch the attack, unleashing a wave of explosions along the strike path. ALT FIRE during map targeting to cancel the origin point.
Note that Valorant is saying goodbye to Episodes, and instead embracing the Seasons. Acts will stay and there will be six per year, mainly representing periods of gameplay such as ranked, battlepasses, map rotations and Premier stages.
Valorant is also introducing Flex, the first new content type since launch. It comes in the form of handheld objects that give players more ways to express themselves in-game. Players can equip a Flex at any time, whether that’s before a round starts, during the round when gameplay is happening or celebrating at the end of a round.
The new act also brings players a new skinline, EX.O. Inspired by futuristic and sci-fi themes, weapons included in EX.O are the Vandal, Sheriff, Spectre, Outlaw and Katana – the EX.O Edge.
For the first half of 2025, Valorant will be going through a gameplay balance update, with the team taking a look at some agent changer and power budget distribution. Map pools will be rotating with every Act to increase variety throughout the year. To support this change, the team will be announcing the next act’s map pool shortly after the current act starts.
“For 2025, the team’s priority is to continue deepening the opportunities for strategic and mechanical mastery. Changes like the accuracy updates to gunplay and movement is an example of the ways the team is already deepening the mastery loop. You can expect them to look at other ways to raise the skill ceiling for good tactical play.”
