Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 just unveiled the fourth faction to join the upcoming RPG from Paradox Interactive. Welcome The Newcomers to the hunt today.

Based on the massively popular tabletop role playing title by White Wolf, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the second video game in this series of adventures. Casting players into the role of a recently revived thinblood vampire, the game challenges the undead to make their way in 21st Century Seattle. However, there’s more than Seattle’s stunning weather to worry about for newly awakened vampires.

A Moonlight Struggle

Starting out their second life as a weak shadow, players must navigate the many obstacles, threats, and political plots that infest the city. A range of unique customisable powers are available to every new bloodsucker, with even more supernatural abilities available when you join one of the full blooded clans. The Newcomers are one of these groups of powerful individuals and follow on from the recent Baron reveal. This clan of night walkers have, until now, traditionally been kept out of Seattle, but that only changed recently. Wander across the city’s university and you’ll find the Newcomer’s territory. Mystery surrounds their group and nobody in Seattle can tell why the hierarchy allowed them to use the prestigious campus grounds in the first place.

“I realize that there are many in Seattle who will disparage you from associating with us. We’re a threat to their stability – the inevitable pressure that changes the way the city’s blood flows.”

If you are a blood magic obsessed warlock or academic then this late night Ravenclaw might be the faction for you. With three other potential factions for players to join, and more still to come, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 continues to draw my attention. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is coming out on March 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Until the game can be glimpsed in the moonlight of a midnight launch party, you can find out more about the title over on the official website.

For those of you who I’ve not met yet, my name is Ed. After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
