Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York is due to launch on PC and consoles a little late. Players can sink their teeth into this RPG on 11 December.
Hitting PC just a week later than intended, this RPG comes ahead of the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 in 2020. Announced just after the sequel to The Masquerade line, this adventure comes to life curtsey of developer Draw Distance. It drags players into the supernatural underbelly of New York. As two powerful vampiric factions clash for control over this domain, players will get to know the Camarilla and Anarchs, their motivations, and the influence they have over the iconic city.
The single-player narrative experience is built around Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition and allows players to craft their own central character. Picking from a range of clans, each protagonist wields a range of unique powers. These disciplines allow players an opportunity o take a range of ethical approaches to each of the choices they have to make as they delve into a series of character-driven quests. Like any great RPG, the characters around you are just as important as the central protagonist and gamers will be able to create their own coterie and shape your relations by reinforcing NPC loyalties.
Crafting a new experience in this bright bustling world is a mammoth task and it seems that Draw Distance has pulled the final release date back in order to refine a few issues on PC. Announced on Steam last week, the delay allows the team behind this title to get rid of any remaining bugs and polish the visual elements of the game further. The push to make Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York as god as it can be is understandable, the expectation for anything related to this franchise is palpable. Judging by the trailer, however, this will be worth the extra wait. While the PC version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York arrives on 11 December via Steam, the Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Xbox One versions fo this title will descend upon New York during early 2020.
