The next Sea of Thieves expansion has been revealed by Rare and it will be arriving in the game in the very near future. In Vaults of the Ancients, players set sail for hidden locations that can contain tons of new loot to further expand every pirate’s booty bag. In addition, each player can now gain a new crew member thanks to the addition of a dog companion. As with every expansion, there will also be a number of bug fixes, feature enhancements, and quality of life improvements.
Here are a few details about the Vaults of the Ancients:
- Players will need to find keys to the vaults. These keys can either be returned to the Gold Hoarders or players can use them themselves to find epic loot.
- Each vault will feature a puzzle. To access the super-secret hidden treasure, players will need to find several medallions hidden in the room and then solve a puzzle to unlock the extra room.
- Once a vault is unlocked, players will only have a limited amount of time to grab loot before the timer runs out.
Vaults of the Ancients will launch on September 9th for Xbox One and PC.
