Digital Extremes has confirmed that The New War, the latest expansion to Warframe, is coming to PC and console on 15 December.
Digital Extreme’s We all know the holiday season can be brutal but why not just take out your frustrations on some old adversaries when the latest major update to Warfeame lands this festive season. If you happen to be out of the office or just ready to spend your evenings defending reality then there isn’t long to wait. The news that The New War will arrive came at the end of a recent livestream giving players the news and adding in a new trailer to prep them for the fight.
The New War is a massive drop and a huge narrative moment for Warframe. The award winning online action game will combine a personal story of self-discovery with an action-packed space opera as the player navigates a total of 16 planets with 3 Open Worlds. Split into 3 acts, it follows brand new playable characters alongside the Tenno as players complete a range of perilous missions out in the open world. This also marks the return of the Sentients, a long lost race of artificial beings, and chief enemies of the Orokin during the Old War. This powerful protagonist requires a new range of weapons and Tenno are going to get new Customizations, Weapons, and Accessories, along with Warframe’s 48th unique Warframe, Caliban – a Sentient-Warframe hybrid. The upcoming update will also add a bunch of other quality of life and new player experience enhancements, and plenty of hype.

The New War will ignite a battle for the Origin System on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch in jsut over two weeks, but there’s still time to prepare.
