Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – Check Out Portrait Painting Timelapse

Developer Owlcat Games shared the Rogue Trader portrait painting timelapse to show off the artists’ work from the starting sketch to the finished result. Over 14 minutes long video, you will see how the artist juts down the pose, works on perspective, background, colors, rendering and more.

“Our artists worked on this portrait for a long time, and it required a lot of revisions and alterations. But the result was worth it — now you can get into the spirit of Imperium aristocracy. And in the game you can choose a noble background for your Lord Captain as well.”

Earlier in the week the developers have also shared the results of the massive Rogue Trader survey held for the game’s closed alpha version. Partaking allowed the team to gather player impressions on the closed alpha stage as well as suggestions on how to make the game better. A total of 521 people took part in the survey and gave the game the overall score of 4.35 out of 5.

The questions included were about all possible parts of the game, from the narrative and visuals to gameplay and companions. Check out the results by visiting the game’s Steam page or our article on the matter. The space battles were outlined in great detail, explaining the things to come.
