Warhammer has already done Swords and Sorcery, first-person co-op, and Total War. Now, the Games Workshop IP is ready to bring players back to the board with an early glimpse of Warhammer Underworlds: Online.
Announced just last week, Warhammer Underworlds: Online is a brand new digital game set in the Warhammer universe. After a successful 2017 launch and two expansions, the online iteration should end up being a faithful translation of this heritage. Just like the original game, Warhammer Underworlds: Online takes place during the Age of Sigmar and pits players against each other in a 1v1 battle for supremacy.
Warhammer Underworlds: Online appears to be a mix of dice and decks, allowing payers to pick an opponent, build their deck, and implement some serious strategy. The turn-based tactics used also hark back to the physical incarnation of Underworlds and Developer, Steel Sky has drawn some screenshots to tease us with.
“Bringing Underworlds to life is an amazing opportunity for us,” said Creative Director, Neil Rennison. “This game has the potential to connect a thriving, global community of players and we plan on doing just that, by delivering an incredible Warhammer Underworlds experience.”
