Vermintide 2 Versus is out now, inflicting 4v4 PvP to your nearest and dearest.
The blessings of Sigmar be upon you all, things are about to get bloody fun in Vermintide 2. The Warhammer themed brawler just announced a new Versus game mode that pits friend against friend. The free addition brings players together in a thrilling set of new 4v4 experiences, where Five Heroes of Vermintide and the Skaven ratmen cut each other up for clout.
Players entering a chaotic world can choose their pawn as they face off and take turns playing as both the beloved Ubersreik Five Heroes and the Pactsworn. Five different heroes are available, each catering to a unique play style and careers to unlock. Along the way you’ll rediscover the war-ravaged lands of the Vermintide 2, tackle your opponents, and cut a swathe of destruction through enemy AI. The Pactsworn get a very different game. While Heroes have a familiar hack and slash of Vermintide 2, the Pactsworn get to guide a range of teeth, claws, and Skaven bosses around the map. As Pactsworn, take control of the Special enemies for the first time! The Skaven are short-lived and die easily, but as the Pactsworn players you get to choose a new Special and jump back into the fray in no time! When the moment calls for the big guns, summon The Horde! Or better yet, jump back in as a bigger threat.

Warhammer Vermintide 2 – Versus might be free, but new players shouldn’t fret. Developers Fatshark just discounted the base game by a ridiculous 95%, for a limited period. A raft of rewards is on offer to celebrate the experience too. A set of challenges offers up a Pactsworn Skin, Shillings, Helmgart Sellsword Marks, a Portrait frame, and a Weapon Pose across the opening weeks. That’s not all the update brings either.
