Fatshark has announced that the latest round of closed alpha testing for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Versus is underway for the next several days. Throughout the event, players will be able to get a peek at the upcoming 4v4 PvP + enemies game mode. Players can sign up for testing opportunities by visiting the game’s official site. Up to 10,000 PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players will be chosen to participate.
“One of the things we’ve learned through our years of development is that our players deeply love and care for this game, and we want to learn from them and their feedback during this testing period,” said Erik Ekström, Product Owner of Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
“We’re aiming to take a co-creation approach with our players, analyze their feedback, and take that into our development process as lessons learned.”
What is Versus mode?
Versus mode is an asymmetric 4v4 PvP + enemy game mode. The Ubersreik Five are pitted against AI enemies and up to four player-controlled Skaven specials. The goal is to compete for points over multiple rounds and sections, with teams switching sides periodically. The team with the most points at the end of the match is declared the winner.
