We Happy Few Gets a Story Trailer, Release Date

Uncover the secrets of Wellington Wells on August 10th
We Happy Few

Gearbox Publishing and Compulsion Games have released a story trailer for We Happy Few and we now have a better idea of what on earth is going on in Wellington Wells.

Check it out:

Cut off from the mainland during World War II, Wellington Wells harbours terrible secrets. Set in a retro-futuristic 1960s England, We Happy Few tells the tale of this island obsessed with Joy (the drug de jour which inhibits all other emotions except the euphoric) and a handful of “moderately terrible” citizens that wants to escape the drug-fueled madness. In We Happy Few you will follow their tale as told from three different perspectives in this 20+ hour thriller.

Can destroy Wellington Wells’ Joy? If you succeed, what will the ramifications be? And what IS the truth behind the drug that has Wellington Wells stoned out of their collective minds?

Time will tell. That time being August 10th, 2018! We Happy Few will be releasing on Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, Linux, and MacOS with HDR and 4K support on the consoles.

What do you think of We Happy Few? We would love to hear in the comments below. For me, I am looking forward to it because it looks like a game in the same vein as the Bioshock series. Hopefully, this can scratch that itch!

Born in the heyday of mullets and the El Camino to a tech-foward family, Damien (a.k.a. Dame, PastorDame) quickly embraced the reality that “normal” is just a setting on a dryer. Damien is a pastor by trade and loves talking with anyone who is interested about life, God, and video games (in no particular order) - so, much so, that he and fellow MMORPG/GameSpace writer Matt Keith (Nexfury) create a podcast dedicated to that conversation. At the end of the day, Damien is a guy who loves his wife, his Mini Schnoodle, and crafting gourmet bowls of Mac N’ Cheese.
