Developer Owlcat Games is back with more grimdark content for turn-based cRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. The company revealed that the first premium DLC, Void Shadows, will be arriving in Koronus Expanse on August 8. You can acquire Void Shadows as a part of Season Pass or purchase it separately. Abelard, introduce me!
“Brace yourself, Lord Captain! New adventures await you in the Koronus Expanse — thrilling, bewildering, ominous. Engage with the sinister representatives of an ancient Death Cult, and with their aid, uncover the menacing secrets concealed in the darkest corners of your voidship. Welcome a new companion into your retinue — Kibellah, a skilled Death Cult Assassin. As you get to know her, you may begin to take a different view of your faith in the Emperor.”
The developers promise a new story, offering about 15 hours of adventures on board the von Valancius voidship. The DLC is fully integrated into the game’s main story.
In addition to the new romanceable companion, the Death Cult Assassin Kibellah, Rogue Traders are in for new enemies as well. The malignant Genestealer Cult is infecting your crew with their genetic code to convert them, slowly twisting their faith in the Emperor to carry out their wretched designs. Last but not least, Void Shadows offers new locations to explore. There are many distant nooks and crannies where no Lord Captain has gone before.
Additionally, Owlcat Games revealed that turn-based cRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is now fully compatible with Steam Deck.
“We’ve reworked several game interfaces and other minor elements to optimize your gaming experience and make the game feel comfortable to play on Steam Deck.”
