Following the participation in the Xbox & Bethesda showcase, developer Blizzard Entertainment held the Overwatch 2 reveal event during which the company showed off what the game will be like.
As announced during the Xbox showcase, Overwatch 2 will adopt free-to-play model and as such will feature battle passes, seasons, special skins, and more. During the reveal, the company stated that Overwatch 2 will have 2 months long seasons, introducing new heroes, maps, game modes, skins, Mythic skins and more. Additionally, the developers have spoken about what to expect from the re-imagined PvP once Overwatch 2 arrives this October. Many heroes have been reworked and re-balanced so that players would feel the impact from their actions. Overwatch 2 will not feature PvE on the release, the game mode will be added in Season 3 in 2023.
