Lost Ark publisher Amazon just detailed what Western players can expect in Arkesia across July and August 2023.
Lost Ark is heading for something of a summer bonanza with a ton of new content coming after we’re finished in the Shining City. Thanks to Smilegate RPG’s latest showcase event, we now know what is coming to Arkesia in a little more detail. While publisher Amazon did detail a broad roadmap back in April 2023, we now have more precise information and a bit of a closer look at what’s coming. The news dropped after Smilegate revealed a whole swathe of updates for the Eastern iteration of the MMOARPG, and it looks like most of this is coming our way too.
July
On top of the Legion raid Inferno Mode that will challenge players to the edge of their abilities in July, the incoming quality of life changes will have a huge impact. While hinted at earlier in the year, we now know that these will primarily revolve around easier progression. Honing won’t be as arduous for players grinding this out, with overall basic Honing Boost extended to 1490. Various tiers of Honing will get boosts, increased success rates, and improved gear requirements to generally make life a little easier. A new merchant will arrive, making it easier to collect stone cards, while a number of changes will make crating and swapping items between characters far less punishing.
The Maharaka Festival is due to return too. Mostly, we’re looking forward to going full Chocobo GP with the “Run, Mokokos!” event.
August
Alongside the QoL changes across July, August welcomes a Powerpass, upgraded Hyper Express events, a rearranged set ot T1 and T2 progression requirements, as well as a bunch of engraving updates. I might avoid simply copy pasting the entire update here, but the result should be much faster entry into T3 for anybody getting into the more difficult end game content.
