When you can’t lose a match, you can’t miss a frame. AOC jsut unveiled a pair of new esports displays that are set to put the pedal to the metal on monitor numbers. The new Agon Pro AG246FK and AG256FS bring top tier gaming at 580 Hz and 390 Hz. The ridiculous refresh rates of the two latest AOC display each bring their own twist on the swift concept and will be on store shelves during August 2024.
AG246FK
Small but mighty, the AG246FK is a 24.1 inch FHD Ultra-Fast Tn option that delivers a 540Hz refresh rate, meaning you’ll never miss an opportunity to take the shot. Aimed at competitive enthusiasts, it also incorporates a frame time of just 1.85 ms between individual frames and pixel transition times of up to 0.5 ms GtG. The swifter end of this pair, it also adds DisplayHDR 400 to keep up appearances while going fast.
AG256FS
Similarly sized, the new AG246FK is a 24.5 FHD Fast IPS panel, combining a 390 Hz refresh rate with superior colour reproduction and wide viewing angles known from IPS technology. The 1 ms GtG time still puts it in impressive company and incorporates the same DisplayHDR 400 credentials so you can look fantastic on either panel.
Both options have an MBR (Motion Blur Reduction) mode, which uses strobing backlight technology to reach an impressively low MPRT time. AOC are betting on a low input lag and extra options like Adaptive Synch to make the experience on either display worth the cost. As you’d expect from an AOC product, both models come with a space saving stand, built-in USB hub with 4x USB 3.2 ports, and a mix of DP and HDMI inputs.
