Winds of Change Blowing Into Launch Early

Winds of Change is about to tell its epic tail earlier than expected. Developer Tall Tail Studios has just confirmed that its new visual novel is launching on 21 August 2019.

Winds of Change is a game that asks players to lead the rebellion, build your army, and shape the world with your choices. Don’t be fooled though, this isn’t you’re run of the mill JRPG clone. Players flipping the pages of this visual novel are thrust into a fantasy world full of mystery and adventure. Playing as The Seeer of Valinorth, gamers are shaken from the normal status quo and thrown into the hands of a rebellion. Guided by visions of the future and the call of a mysterious “Blade of Exodus”, adventurers must delve into deep lore and save the world of Alestia. Also, did we mention furries, all of the furries?

Initially bounding into Steam Early Access on March 2018, Winds of change is looking like it will turn out to be a quality title. The 2D visual novel format lends itself brilliantly to the awesome character art. The game features a non-linear storyline that allows players to explore the world by completing a range of quests in parallel. You won’t need to simply complete one task after another after another in this story. Players will also get to know the world by interacting with other characters, and a stellar voice cast is employed for this purpose. They bring experience on everything from The Legend of Zelda to Gundam and One Punch Man. If nothing else, you’re probably going to want to explore the world through these NPCs and comrades.

While players wait on the final release, the game’s first act is available for free, allowing you to get a head start on your adventure and carry over any subsequent save data when the final game launches. Yes, this might be a torrid tail, but I tend to think it looks pretty claw-some all things considered. Winds of Change hits full launch PC, via Steam, on 21 August. In the mean time you can find out more in the trailer above or by visiting the Steam Store page now.
