Wizard101 Adds Guilds and Raids in Its Summer Update

Wizard101 Guilds

KingsIsle Entertainment and gamigo have announced that Wizard101 has received its Summer Update, bringing a pair of community-requested features into the MMORPG. North American players can now set up a guild complete with a guild house where members can meet up to adventure together and where groups of players can prepare for the all-new Raid system.

Guild players have access to several cool features including:

  • being visibly identifiable as a member of a guild
  • the ability to post on a guild message board about current events or to ask for help in the game
  • access to a shared guild inventory
  • PvE and PvP combat practice opportunities
  • decorating options

“Our community has wanted easier ways to meet friends in Wizard101, and we’re now giving them the ultimate in building new friendships with Guilds,” said Artie Rogers, Design Director. “The game has many systems to form lasting bonds with fellow players, but now those friends can become part of a more permanent group than was previously possible.”

The Summer Update also includes new options for the PvP-based Beastmoon Hunt and the PvE-based Beastmoon Monster Mayhem events, as well as new Skeleton Key Bosses, new Pet Jewels, and much more.

During next week’s Gamescom event, gamigo will be on hand with news about W101’s upcoming 14th-anniversary plans.
