Bethesda has published Wolfenstein Youngblood FAQ to answer a variety of questions about the game. The game will come out on July 26, 2019, priced $29.99 for the Standard Edition and $39.99 for the Deluxe Edition that includes The Buddy Pass and the Cyborg Skin Pack. The Buddy Pass allows you to invite a friend who hasn’t purchased Wolfenstein: Youngblood to play through the entire game with you for free. However, if you prefer to play solo, you go at it with an AI companion.
Cyborg Skin Pack from the Deluxe Edition includes:
- Cyborg player skin
- Titanium alloy skins for all weapons
- Titanium alloy hatchet
- Titanium alloy knife
- Armor-boosting pep signal
Pre-ordering the game will give players The Legacy Pack, a set of outfits and weapons used by BJ Blazkowicz in previous games. The pack includes:
- New Colossus Jacket power suit skin
- BJ’s U.S. Army power suit skin
- Old Blood Pipe
- Old Blood Knife
- WW2 Weapon Skin Set, for all ranged weapons
The game will feature microtransactions but only for cosmetic items. Most in-game store offerings will also be available for purchase via currency earned through gameplay. The in-game store will not contain lootboxes.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood takes places 19 years after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. A lot has changed in the two decades since BJ Blazkowicz kick-started the American revolution. In Wolfenstein: Youngblood, it’s up to BJ’s twin daughters to fight back against a Nazi-occupied Paris as they search for their missing father.
Wolfenstein Youngblood is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is being developed by MachineGames in partnership with Arkane Studios, with the Switch version developed by Panic Button.
