Are you ready to challenge Keg Leg’s crew as they return to the Arathi Highlands? Then prepare to duke it out in the newest season of Plunderstorm, a limited-time competition of wits, prowess, and survival, now live!
“Plunge into a challenging battle that earns excellent rewards for World of Warcraft® Modern and Classic progression realms. All you have to do is survive…and plunder. Each match is 10-15 minutes long and has 60 players per match, with the winner being the last one standing. Level up and acquire new abilities and spells by killing creatures and enemies, looting chests, and avoiding the encroaching storm.”
Originally introduced in WoW: Dragonflight, Plunderstorm is the MMO’s take on a battle royale genre. Since its debut, the game mode received quite a few quality-of-life improvements and updates, including:
- Improved Queuing: access to this game mode remains the same as before, but will now also include a user interface access option from The War Within UI in game.
- Plunderstore: progress for rewards is no longer tied to linear renown track completion, and instead players will earn currency (Plunder) to purchase the rewards of their choosing from a dedicated user interface available in-game and from the queue screen.
- Ability updates: new abilities and balance updates to current ones.
So, what is in it for you besides the bragging rights? Players can now purchase cosmetics, pets, titles, and mounts by visiting the Plunderstore to make their purchases. These include items from the previous Plunderstorm and new items such as the Hooktalon flying mount, Plunderlord’s Midnight Crocolisk Mount, Sparklesnap the crab pet, Parley the parrot pet, and a variety of swashbuckling cosmetics.
