Developer Blizzard Entertainment is wrapping up the plot of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight with the Dark Heart update, launching May 7th. Radiant visions are being experienced all across Azeroth, even as a new ancient threat moves in the shadows. Khadgar summons Alleria Windrunner to Dalaran to investigate.
Draenei and Troll characters can also embark on new questlines to lay claim to their new heritage armors, Kul Tiran Humans can select from six new hair colors, maximum-level characters will gain access to all Dragonflight quests regardless of Renown—and more.
All aboard the hype train, the next stop: The War Within. It acts as the first story of a new trilogy, followed by WoW: Midnight & WoW: The Last Titan.
The War Within arrives in Fall 2024, with players encountering new challenge. Players will descend into the Heart of Azeroth itself and even run into some familiar faces, both friend and foe.
The events of the expansion will take place in the subterranean continent of Khaz Algar, a place long forgotten. Players are in for new zones, dungeons, raids, and stories. Systems-wise, the devs will use the approach similar to that of Dragonflight. Namely, focus on the evergreen features, provide something for everyone, and continue focusing on respecting player time.
