WoW Shadowlands - New Charity Pet Program Is Now Live

Blizzard Entertainment released a new post on the official forums of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands to reveal more details about the previously announced BlizzCon 2021 charity program. Players who wish to make a difference can support the medical humanitarian aid organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

“We’ve made a change to how our Charity Pet program works and during this campaign, you’ll be able to donate* any amount you wish directly to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Between today and April 26, 2021 (or upon reaching our stretch goal), all donations will contribute to the MSF COVID-19 Crisis Fund to support the organization’s global response to the pandemic and its consequences (donations will be collected by MSF-USA.)

We’ll be tracking your donations and once a goal of $500,000 USD has been reached, we’ll make Bananas, the Monkey available for everyone† playing modern World of Warcraft** as a thank you, whether you were able to donate personally or not.

In addition, if we reach a stretch goal of $1 Million USD, everyone will receive a second pet, Daisy the sloth. She’s an all-new pet that you can carry with you everywhere you go right on your back!”

With a single act of destruction, Sylvanas Windrunner has ripped open the way to the afterlife. Azeroth’s staunchest defenders have been dragged into all-consuming darkness. An ancient force of death threatens to break its bonds and unravel reality.

Hidden realms of wonder and horror await any who would pass to the other side. The Shadowlands is home to an entire realm of the departed; it is a world between worlds whose delicate balance preserves life and death itself. As one of Azeroth’s greatest champions, you have been granted the power to cross over in body and soul. Now you must investigate a conspiracy to unmake the cosmos, and help Warcraft legends journey back… or fulfill their ultimate destiny.
