Blizzard revealed that some heroes of Azeroth can jump into the action with World of Warcraft: The War Within Early Access now live. Players who purchased either the physical collector’s edition or the Epic Edition digital bundle are now able to begin their leveling journey four days in advance of global launch on August 26. If you’re waiting for the full launch, beware of spoilers sprouting around YouTube and the official forums!
The new continent of Khaz Algar awaits. In addition to the surface-level city of Dornogal (the new hub for the expansion), adventurers will also have a chance to visit the lava-fuelled forge of The Ringing Deeps, the lush Hallowfall, and the pinnacle of Nerubian society, Azj-Kahet.
WoW: The War Within Expansion Features Include:
- New Class Feature: Hero Talents. These are a new, self-contained talent trees that unlock once your character reacher level 71. They build on the abilities and talents of the base classes and specializations, and offer two Hero Talent trees per specialization to choose from.
- New World Content Feature: Delves. Delves are quick adventures for one to five players as a solo experience, with friends, or even as a dungeon group. These adventures are integrated into the outdoor realm as a new endgame pillar alongside dungeons, raids, and PvP.
- New Feature: Warbands. This new feature encompasses all of the characters on a player’s Battle.net account, as well as the items, collections, and progression they share.
- Expanded Feature: Skyriding. Dynamic flight, first introduced in WoW: Dragonflight in the form of Dragonriding, is now available for hundreds of mounts in the form of Skyriding.
