The alpha testing of the new World of Warcraft expansion The War Within is steadily approaching along with the new physical Collector’s Edition. It is now available for pre-orders from the various global retailers, including the official Blizzard Gear Store.
Note that there is currently no official release date, although it is slated to arrive in the Fall of this year. Players will descend into the Heart of Azeroth itself and even run into some familiar faces, both friend and foe.
The events of the expansion will take place in the subterranean continent of Khaz Algar, a place long forgotten. Players are in for new zones, dungeons, raids, and stories. Systems-wise, the devs will use the approach similar to that of Dragonflight. Namely, focus on the evergreen features, provide something for everyone, and continue focusing on respecting player time.
The War Within is the first of the three new announced expansions that serves as the entry into the World Soul Saga.
