Developer Blizzard Entertainment is back to welcome players to the War Wtihin, the latest WoW expansion, with a new animated short. Titled ‘Threads of Destiny’, it follows our old friendly foe Xal’atath as she strikes a deal with a Nerubian queen to fulfill her latest scheme.

“As the might of the Nerubian kingdom of Azj-Kahet falters, their queen must decide the choices she’s willing to make to ensure her people’s survival.”
In The War Within, Xal’atath seeks to set in motion the rise of a new dark legacy. She has conscripted the Nerubian queen, Ansurek, and used her dark gift to turn Nerubians into a new kind of ferocious and terrifying soldiers. Join forces with some familiar heroes, and set out to stop her latest scheme. The events of the expansion will take lace in the subterranean continent of Khaz Algar, a place long forgotten.
World of Warcraft: The War Within pre-expansion patch is live now. Players can already try out Skyriding and Warbands systems for themselves, with the Radiant Echoes event giving players of all levels something to do before the launch. Confront the memories of Azeroth and collect Residual Memories to purchase new items to add to the Warband collection. Players with and without The War Within will be able to take part in this event for its duration.
