Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared a new blog post to provide players with an early look at eight more Hero Talent Trees, coming in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
So, what are the Hero Talents? In The War Within, players will get access to a new class update. Blizzard describes them as an evergreen form of character progression for each WoW class specialization that introduces new powers and class fantasies.
Hero Talents are self-contained talent trees that players unlock access at level 71. They build on the abilities and talents of current classes and specializations, with a three total available per class, barring the usual exceptions: Druid (four) and Demon Hunters (two). Each specialization has two Hero Talent trees they can choose between, and each of these trees is available as an option for two specializations.
Previously, the team already shared the first look at Keeper of the Grove Druid, Dark Ranger Hunter, Frostfire Mage & Oracle Priest. This time, the preview is dedicated to the following Hero Talent trees:
- Elune’s Chosen and Wildstalker Druids
- Scalecommander Evoker
- Herald of the Sun and Templar Paladins
- Trickster Rogue
- Diabolist Warlock
- Colossus Warrior
Check out the official site to see an in-depth mockup preview of what awaits you in The War Within. Each tree is centralized around an ability or concept that explores that niche identity of the specialization. For example, Elune’s Chosen go all-in on control over the moon and stars. These Druids get upgrades to Full Moon, Lunar Beam and Fury of Elune (depending on your spec).
Meanwhile, Heralds of the Sun imbue themselves with radiant Solar energy to inflict burns on enemies and cauterize their allies’ wounds. These Paladins get buffed versions of Holy Prism and Wake of Ashes (Holy & Retribution respectively).
