Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared a new trailer dedicated to the new chapter in the Classic World of Warcraft saga. Additionally, the team has revealed the release date of Wrath of the Lich King Classic. Mark your calendars, ships sail to Northrend on September 26!
In Wrath of the Lich King, brave heroes of the Alliance and the Horde set out to confront one of the greatest villains of Azeroth: Arthas, fallen prince of Lordaeron. To do so, players will embark on a treacherous journey through the wintry forests and snowy peaks of the continent of Northrend, the single largest land mass Blizzard ever added to the game with an expansion (until the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight).
“The epic moments in Wrath of the Lich King Classic feature vast icy environments, unique dungeons and raids, and a gripping conclusion to the story of Prince Arthas,” said World of Warcraft executive producer Holly Longdale. “All of this and more made it a favorite of many of our players and us at Blizzard as well. We’re looking forward to providing an authentic experience for returning veterans and an awesome adventure for newcomers exploring Azeroth for the first time.”
In Wrath of the Lich King Classic, players will have access to the game’s first Hero Class – Death Knight, as well as the new Inscription profession, Achievements, increased level cap and more.
